Jennifer is a local director, producer, cinematographer and editor. After graduating from Boston University, she worked as a Production Coordinator and Video Producer at America's Test Kitchen where she dipped her toes in broadcast television, YouTube and digital content. This year, she switched to full time freelance to focus on her business, JC Media and other passion projects. She now works on a variety of projects including documentaries, music videos, short films, sports, weddings and live events, and loves working on new projects. She is currently directing an indie documentary called Pond to Plate about oyster farming and sustainable aquaculture. Her favorite part of filmmaking is meeting new creatives and making meaningful content.
Tim is an independent filmmaker based in Somerville, MA. Tim writes, directs, produces and edits all of his own work, including his award-winning short film AIRBAG (2024) that recently screened at Independent Film Festival Boston and the New Hampshire Film Festival. He focuses on character-driven storytelling (often working with nontraditional actors) and combining documentary realism with formalistic elements of cinema. His upcoming projects include his second short film, Trivia Night, and his feature-length debut filmed on Cape Cod. In addition to being a filmmaker, Tim is an assistant manager at the West Newton Cinema, the independent theatre in his hometown.
Meghan is an award winning director & producer who specializes in non-fiction filmmaking. Meghan creates compelling, research-based, visually driven stories. Her work moves fluidly between documentary, and commercial content. Meghan is the co-founder of Persistent Productions and Pnxt Studios, with offices in Boston and in Singapore.
She has worked with artists such as YoYo Ma and her work has been screened by organizations such as The World Health Organization, Tribeca Film Festival, and The United Nations General Assembly. Her client portfolio includes BBC Storyworks, SONY Music, Nikon, The Rockefeller Foundation and Condé Nast among others.
Meghan is particularly interested in how art and documentary film can create social and policy change. Her film How I Live has worked at the intersection of science, public health and policy to advocate for more equity in global childhood cancer.
Michael is an accomplished director and cinematographer with a keen eye for crafting visually compelling narratives that elevate global brands. As a founder and director of Persistent Productions and Pnxt Studios, Mike has led high-profile commercial campaigns for Westin, Korean Airlines, SONY Music, and Diageo, seamlessly blending cinematic storytelling with strategic brand messaging.
Mike has collaborated with major production companies, including National Geographic Television, Discovery Networks, The Smithsonian Network, and Beach House Pictures. His deep-rooted understanding of Asian markets—shaped by his upbringing in the region—has made him an invaluable creative force in producing content that resonates across cultures.
Mike has also served as a cinematographer on critically acclaimed independent films such as Up to the Mountain Down to the River, a retrospective on the Chinese Cultural Revolution, as well as HBO’s Ghosts of Abu Ghraib, Moxie Firecracker’s Thank You, Mr. President, and Michael Moore’s Fahrenheit 9/11.
Maria is an award-winning multimedia artist, filmmaker, and educator from Boston, MA. Her expertise spans film, new media, projection, installation, photography, and design.
Using a synesthetic approach that integrates sensory experiences and storytelling, Maria’s work delves into the interplay between art, music, and dance in shaping self-identity.
Maria’s creative projects have reached audiences locally and internationally, with screenings and exhibitions in Massachusetts, New York, California, Oregon, the UK, and Mexico. Highlights of her work include the magic-realist short film Hyphen (2018); projection designs for Company One’s Black Super Hero Magic Mama (2022) and The Interrobangers (2024 Elliot Norton Award nomination for “Best Scenic Design”); and the immersive installation Hibiskiss (2022), showcasing the breadth of her creative work.
Maria has taught at Emerson College, MassArt, Northeastern University, and UMass Boston. Through her contributions to the arts, Maria has been named a “Latina Leader” by Amplify Latinx, an “Outstanding Young Leader” by the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce, and one of WBUR’s “The Makers”. She has also received honors, grants, fellowships, and residencies from the Boston Mayor's Office of Arts & Culture, Mass MoCA, Boston Arts & Business Council, and other prominent organizations.
